CADUS is hosting a Missing Maps Mapathon on Monday, 13 July and we'd love you to join.
In humanitarian crises, accurate maps are essential. Many affected areas are still poorly mapped. At the mapathon we use tools from the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT) and work in the spirit of the Missing Maps initiative and its community. Together we add data to OpenStreetMap from satellite imagery supporting individuals, communities and organizations responding to crises and disasters.
Never mapped before? We'll give you a short intro and point you to entry-level tasks.
Already comfortable and mapped before? Come for the advanced tasks and to swap knowledge with others in the room.
We will map urgent projects to support emergency responses e.g. in Venezuela and the DRC
Bring your laptop. We'll take care of snacks, drinks, and support on site.
