OSM関西カンファレンスは、OpenStreetMapに関心のある人々が集まり、交流し、学び、アイデアを共有する場です。
OpenStreetMapの活用事例、地域での取り組み、マッピング技術、他のデータソースとの連携などに関するプレゼンテーションを予定しています。通常のプレゼンテーション（20分枠）に加え、ショートプレゼンテーション（10分枠）も実施し、参加希望者向けの展示スペースもご用意します。

ウィキペディアやOpenStreetMapなどのオープンデータを活用し、地域社会に関する情報を記録・共有しています。これらは、現代の私たちだけでなく、オープンデータとして永続的に保存され、将来の地域住民にとっての「宝」となると信じています。 様々な地域の人々と交流し、活動を通じて、相互支援により長期的な取り組みを持続させ、日本全国に地域住民が主体となって地域情報を記録・共有する文化を築くことを目指しています。

The OSM Kansai Conference is a conference where people interested in OpenStreetMap can gather, network, learn, and share ideas.
We will feature presentations on OpenStreetMap use cases, local initiatives, mapping techniques, and integration with other data sources. In addition to regular presentations (20-minute slots), we will also offer short presentations (10-minute slots) and provide exhibition space for those who wish to participate.

To establish a culture of recording and sharing local information.
Using open data such as Wikipedia and OpenStreetMap to document and share information about our local communities. We believe this will not only be used by us today but will also be permanently preserved as open data, serving as a "treasure" for future local residents. By engaging in activities and connecting with people from various regions, we aim to sustain long-term efforts through mutual support and establish a culture across Japan where residents themselves record and share local information.
