Mapping Hidden Stories: reflecting on pedestrian accessibility in Athens
Athens, Attica, Greece
COCO-MAT Athens BC, Falirou 5, Athens 117 42
Day 1 of the ODECO Final Conference
The first day will be centered around an attempt to map and enhance accessibility in the very popular archaeological and touristic areas in Athens and specifically around the Acropolis area, particularly for pedestrians with mobility-impairments, such as the elderly and people with disabilities. This session features a hands-on mapping exercise designed to identify accessibility gaps and determine the data needed for better navigation. By engaging stakeholders in this process, the event aims to shape research outcomes and promote more inclusive data practices, ultimately leaving a lasting impact on future visitors.
