What is OpenStreetMap?
OpenStreetMap is a community-owned map of the world made by people like you, which anybody can use, share, and edit.
Notably, it is also used, improved, and supported by
* Organizations like United Nations, Doctors Without Borders, and Wikipedia;
* Companies like Meta (Facebook), Flickr, Apple, OLA, Strava, Snapchat, Zomato, Swiggy, Dominos, redBus, Uber, and Amazon Logistics;
* Games like Pokemon Go, Ingress, Infection-Free Zone, and FlightGear.
* Privacy-respecting free software like Organic Maps, OsmAnd, GNOME Maps, and KDE Marble.
Contributing to OpenStreetMap is fun!
* You get to explore the world, find interesting places, and document them for yourself and others.
* You improve a community resource which helps everyone and is not controlled by any one company.
* It's very satisfying to see your changes appear on the map!

Who are you?
We are passionate OpenStreetMap contributors who improve it for fun in our free time. Many of us are also software freedom and privacy activists.
What will we be doing?
1. Meet and greet
The participants introduce themselves to each other
2. Learning
New participants are taught how to use and edit OSM on their phones, and make some practice edits. Existing mappers may be introduced to new apps and techniques.
3. Mapping
We split into teams, and each team is assigned an area to map. The teams disperse, and map their assigned areas.
4. Concluding
We regroup, relax, and grab some food and drinks together.
We suggest bringing...
- a smartphone (preferably Android)
- a power bank
- a charging cable
- drinking water
- friends and colleagues - the more the merrier š
