Missing Maps Mapathon Žilina #9 (Online)
District of Žilina, Region of Žilina, Slovakia
Missing Maps mapathon is a volunteer workshop on which you can vectorize aerial photos into the OpenStreetMap for the humanitarian organization Doctors without Borders. The mapathon outputs then help the medical and logistic teams in the affected areas in various emergency situations.
Mapathon will take place online via Microsoft Teams and streaming video on October 22, 2020 from 17:00 to 20:00.
The workshop is open to the general public and admission is free. We recommend a PC mouse for better vectorization of the territory.
Mapathon is organized by Amavet 962. Its volunteers from April 2017 until the end of September 2020 organized or resp. actively participated in 33 mapathons (Bratislava 9, Žilina 8, Nitra 4, Prešov 4, Brno 4, Zvolen 1, Košice 1, Prague 1, Niš in Serbia 1).
