What is OpenStreetMap?
OpenStreetMap is a community-owned map of the world made by people like you, which anybody can use, share, and edit.
It is used and improved by numerous websites, organizations, and companies (e.g. Wikipedia, Ola Maps, Strava, Swiggy, redBus, Doctors Without Borders, Pokemon Go/Niantic, Zomato, Uber, and Amazon). It also powers privacy-respecting free software like Organic Maps and OsmAnd.
Contributing to OpenStreetMap is fun!
* You get to explore the world, find interesting places, and document them for yourself and others.
* You improve a community resource which helps everyone and is not controlled by any one company.
* It's very satisfying to see your changes appear on the map!
You can learn more about OSM on these pages -

Who are you?
We are passionate and experienced OpenStreetMap contributors who improve it for fun in our free time. Many of us are also free software and privacy activists.
What will we be doing?
1. Meet and greet
The participants introduce themselves to each other
2. Teaching
New participants are taught how to use and edit OSM on their phones, and make some practice edits. Existing mappers may be introduced to new apps and techniques.
3. Mapping
Everyone is split into teams, and each team is assigned an area to map. The teams disperse, and map their assigned areas.
4. Concluding
The participants regroup, relax, and grab some food and drinks together.
We suggest bringing...
