Missing Maps mapathon is a volunteer workshop on which you can vectorize aerial photos into the OpenStreetMap for the humanitarian organization Doctors without Borders. The mapathon outputs then help the medical and logistic teams in the affected areas in various emergency situations.
Mapathon will take place on March 26, 2020 from 10:00 to 13:00 in spaces of Faculty of Humanities and Natural Sciences, University of Prešov, 17. novembra 6600/1, 080 01 Prešov, Slovakia.
The workshop is open to the general public and admission is free. You do not need to bring your own laptop, because the faculty will provide a PC classroom.
The mapping workshop is organized by Amavet 962. Its volunteers from April 2017 until the end of February 2020 organized or actively participated in 33 mapathons (Bratislava 8, Zilina 8, Brno 5, Nitra 4, Presov 4, Zvolen 1, Kosice 1, Prague 1, Nis in Serbia 1).
