UN Map Marathon

👟 Join our competition! Participation is open to all (even if you have never mapped before)!
You will only need your computer, a mouse and an OpenStreetMap account.
The goal of the UN Map marathon is to contribute to UN projects through mapping on OpenStreetMap. This data will be a valuable aid in the field and will be effectively used!
Depending on the project chosen by the participant, you will contribute to peacekeeping operations in several African countries or to education planning in Madagascar, thanks to a collaboration between IIEP-UNESCO and UN Mappers.
In addition, attend our events during the map marathon to deepen your knowledge of OSM:
"Running with JOSM": for all those who want to approach the advanced editor of OpenStreetMap.

"From marathon to maps: how to use OSM data": on 26 November, to celebrate the closing of the UN Map Marathon learn how you can create your own maps with OSM data using QGIS.

26 November, from 8 to 10 pm CET Portuguese session
During the event, the winner of the map marathon will be announced! The winner will receive a certificate and will appear on our social channels.
