How FAO uses different apps to measure Land Degradation

FAO Geospatial Specialists Ingrid Teich and César Luis García, will demonstrate how they map land degradation, explain the UNCCD recommended methodology, and the LADA WOCAT methodology for participatory mapping of degradation. They will also show some Google Earth Engine Apps that they are using in many countries to support decision making to achieve SDG 15.3.1, which is Land Degradation Neutrality.

This will be followed by an opportunity to ask questions. No prior knowledge will be assumed, and this session is suitable for Youthmappers and others interested in the topic.
