 ncisco-based artist and geospatial software developer. Through video\, per
 formance\, and works on paper he reinvigorates the perceptual inquiries of
  structural filmmakers\, experimental animators\, the Light and Space move
 ment\, and 60's light shows – with the occasional injection of letterfor
 m experiments inspired by visual poetry – as new possibilities in the re
 alm of digital cartography. Theise manipulates projected digital maps in p
 erformance with musicians and other time-based artists under the title A S
 ynesthete's Atlas. Since its Lisbon premiere in 2022\, Synesthete's has be
 en performed in fifty-plus North American and European cities. \n\nhttps:/

 & Tom Bickley\, recorder\n\nNancy Beckman studied Myoan-Ryu shakuhachi hon
 kyoku through Meianji Temple in Kyoto for five years\, receiving the name 
 Fukushin and the license (Menkyo Kaiden) to teach from the temple. Later\,
  she studied various types of shakuhachi and ethnomusicology at Wesleyan U
 niversity. She also graduated from the Music for Healing and Transition Pr
 ogram\, where she played shakuhachi and lyre for hospice. As a member of e
 nsembles Gusty Winds May Exist (with Tom Bickley)\, Gachapon\, The Corneli
 us Cardew Choir and Dream Down Duvet\, she improvises and plays experiment
 al music and composes improvisational sound meditations. She lives in Berk
 eley and teaches the traditional Myoan shakuhachi repertoire.\n\nhttps://t

 d always hoping to hear more and more fully. He grew up in the semitropica
 l soundscape of Houston\, sojourned in Washington\, DC (studying music\, t
 heology\, and library science) and came to California as a composer in res
 idence at Mills College. He performs using recorder\, EWI\, voice and elec
 tronics\, teaches music at the Bay Area Center for Waldorf Teacher Trainin
 g and Deep Listening courses though the Center for Deep Listening at Renss
 elaer Polytechnic Institute. He performs with shakuhachi player Nancy Beck
 man as Gusty Winds May Exist\, with David Barnett as the recorder duo Thre
 e Trapped Tigers\, with the Doug Van Nort Electro-Acoustic Orchestra\, wit
 h Gachapon Quartet\, and co-founded and directs the Cornelius Cardew Choir

 and Vocalist working with extended technique on the Trombone and with spok
