DESCRIPTION:## Location: University College London\n\n## Time: 14:00 – 1
 7:00\n\nThis event is planned as a “mini” mapping festival\, will incl
 ude three parallel sessions to get your mapping curiosity satisfied. The e
 vent will start in a lecture theatre to provide a 20-min introduction to O
 penStreetMap and how collaborative mapping works. Then the attendees will 
 have the opportunity to join any of the three groups to learn and work on 
 different mapping activities.\n\n## Parallel Activities\n1. Helping humani
 tarian organisations to map parts of the world that there’s no mapping i
 nformation. This is a hands-on activity that the missing map volunteers wi
 ll lead and everyone can participate. This will be led by British Red Cros
 s mappers.\n2. OpenStreetMap data for research. There’s a lot of data av
 ailable on OpenStreetMap that helps to provide insights about the city. Th
 is session will guide the curiosity minded people to find answers to their
  questions. This will be led by UCL Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis.\
 n3. Map the university. OpenStreetMap was originally developed at Universi
 ty College London\, however\, there are areas of the university that remai
 n unmapped. Join this group to complete UCL map. This will be an explorato
 ry and walking activity around campus. This will be led by UCL Advanced Re
 search Computing Centre.\n\n## Schedule\n- 14:00–14:20 Introduction to t
