DESCRIPTION:Real-time cartographic improvisations using projected\, manipu
lated digital maps by Eric Theise in dialogue with Kenneth Cornell and Cli
fford Grindstaff’s multi-textured sonic landscapes and noise excavations
. A visual wash of street grids\, land masses\, water bodies\, and curiosi
ties from built and natural environments. Sounds cinematic and mercurial f
rom the dark Southwest's Land of Enchantment. Orphaned labels and free-flo
ating symbology. Auditory roundabouts and acoustic cul-de-sacs. Colors tha
t clash\, calm\, and fade. Jittery zooms and traversals. Liminal drones. G
litchy artifacts from crowdsourced geographies.\n\nThe performance will oc
